Abzal Mukhitdin
Artista Kazako è detentore dell’Ordine di Kurmet.
Abzal Mukhitdin si è diplomato al Kurmangazy Kazakh National
Conservatory (nel 1992 – con specializzazione in direzione corale e nel
1996 – con specializzazione in direzione sinfonica e operistica). Ha
conseguito il Master presso l’Università di York (Gran Bretagna).
Nel 1998, insieme all’artista onorato del Kazakistan Gaukhar
Murzabekova, Abzal Mukhitdin ha fondato l’ensemble Camerata of
Kazakhstan. Nel 1999 ha fondato l’Orchestra Sinfonica dell’Astana State
Philharmonic. Nel 2005 ha fondato la La Primavera Presidential Chamber
Orchestra. Dal 2000 al 2013 è stato Direttore Principale del Teatro
Nazionale dell’Opera e del Balletto di Baiseitova. Dal 2013 al 2015 è stato
Direttore Musicale e Direttore Principale del Teatro dell’Opera e del
Balletto di Stato “Astana Opera”. Dal 2015 è consulente artistico e
vicedirettore principale dell’Astana Opera House. Il suo repertorio di
direzione comprende più di 250 opere di musica sinfonica e da camera e
più di 40 produzioni di opera e balletto. Come direttore musicale e
direttore d’orchestra, ha realizzato più di 20 produzioni. Si è esibito
insieme a musicisti di livello mondiale, come Roberto Alagna, Maurizio
Barboro (Italia), Gerard Causse (Francia), Mark Holland, James Kirby
(Gran Bretagna), Pietro Massa (Germania), Oleg Krysa (USA), Miranda
Keys (Australia), Marian Talaba (Austria), Zurab Sotkilava (Russia) e
molti altri. Abzal Mukhitdin è l’autore della versione orchestrale dell’Inno
di Stato della Repubblica del Kazakistan, nonché delle nuove versioni
musicali del balletto di Zhubanova Karagoz e delle opere Birzhan – Sara di
Tulebayev e Kyz Zhibek di Brusilovsky; Direttore musicale e direttore
dell’opera La scala di seta di Rossini e del balletto di Rebeck Beethoven –
Immortal – Love.

Abzal Mukhitdin graduated from the Kurmangazy Kazakh National
Conservatory (in 1992 – with a major in choral conducting and in 1996 –
with a major in symphony and opera conducting). He received his
Master’s degree from the University of York (Great Britain).
In 1998, along with Honoured Artist of Kazakhstan Gaukhar
Murzabekova, Abzal Mukhitdin founded the Camerata of
Kazakhstan ensemble. In 1999, he founded the Symphony Orchestra of the
Astana State Philharmonic. In 2005, he founded La Primavera Presidential
Chamber Orchestra. From 2000 to 2013, he was Principal Conductor of
the Baiseitova National Opera and Ballet Theatre. From 2013 to 2015, he
was Music Director and Principal Conductor of the State Opera and Ballet
Theatre “Astana Opera”. Since 2015, he has been Artistic Adviser and
Deputy Principal Conductor of the Astana Opera House.
His conducting repertoire includes more than 250 works of symphonic and
chamber music and more than 40 opera and ballet productions. As a music
director and conductor, he has implemented more than 20 productions. He
has performed along with world-class musicians, such as Roberto Alagna,
Maurizio Barboro (Italy), Gerard Causse (France), Mark Holland, James
Kirby (Great Britain), Pietro Massa (Germany), Oleg Krysa (USA),

Abzal Mukhitdin is the author of the orchestral version of the State Hymn
of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the new musical versions of
Zhubanova’s ballet Karagoz and the operas Birzhan – Sara by Tulebayev
and Kyz Zhibek by Brusilovsky; Music Director and Conductor of the
opera La scala di seta by Rossini and Rebeck’s ballet Beethoven –
Immortal – Love.
