Massimiliano Mainolfi
Diplomatosi con il massimo dei voti presso il Conservatorio di Napoli sotto la guida di Annamaria Pennella, già giovanissimo ottiene riconoscimenti alle piuʼ importanti manifestazioni nazionali e internazionali per giovani pianisti aggiundicandosi tra gli altri i primi premi ai concorsi di Osimo, Lamezia Terme, Messina, Capri.
Nel 1992 si trasferisce negli U.S.A. dove viene ammesso al programma “Master” della prestigiosa Juilliard School di New York, prescelto tra i migliori giovani solisti provienienti da tutto il mondo. A New York si perfeziona come solista con la leggendaria pianista russa Oxana Yablonskaya e lavora al repertorio di musica di camera con il violinista austriaco Felix Galimir. Diplomatosi come solista brillantemente alla Juilliard, Massimiliano si trasferisce a Londra per perfezionarsi con Maria Curcio.
Importanti per la sua formazioni sono anche le numerose Master Class con Alexander Lonquich, Ferenc Rados, Andras Schiff e successivamente Pier Narciso Masi presso lʼAccademia “Incontri col Maestro” di Imola. Laureatosi a numerosi concorsi internazionali, nel 1996 si aggiudica il “Top Piano Prize” al Concorso “Young Concert Artist International” iniziando una fervida attività concertistica e conseguentemente debuttando alla Carnegie Hall. Come solista e camerista si è esibito in numerosi paesi europei quali la Germania, Italia, Francia, Svizzera, Inghilterra, Olanda, Svezia, Norvegia, Belgio, Danimarca, e visitato numerose volte il Sudafrica e gli Stati Uniti. Massimiliano Mainolfi si è esibito con numerose orchestre europee e i suoi concerti recenti includono apparizioni per le più importanti istituzioni concertistiche a Ginevra, Berna, Monaco di Baviera, Amburgo, Milano, Amsterdam, Copenaghen, Oslo, Bruxelles, Stoccolma, Stoccarda e Colonia. Ha suonato tra gli altri al Festival “ Les Jeunes Solistes de lʼEurope” di Bruxelles, al “IMS Festival” in Cornovaglia, al “Festival di Davos”, “da Bach a Bartok” di Imola, e al “Summit Music Festival” di New York.
Massimiliano ha collaborato con numerosi musicisti di fama internazionale tra i quali Oxana Yablonskaya, Dmitri Berlinsky, Steven Isserlis, Suren Bagratuni, Dimitri Ashkenazy, Julian Milkis etc. Nel mese di aprile del 2003 ha fatto il suo debutto alla Philharmonie di Berlino in duo con il violoncellista Mattia Zappa in un concerto radiotrasmesso in diretta in molte nazioni europee. Numerose le incisioni discografiche e le registrazioni radiofoniche: da ricordare quelle per le etichette Ducale e Claves Records e per Deutschland Radio, DRS, Rai 3, Espace 2. Attualmente registra per l’etichetta Decca Italy.Attualmente è Direttore della “International Academy of Music” e del “ Summit Music Festival” , docente di pianoforte presso il Conservatorio di Trento e presso la Hochschule für Musik di Norimberga
Having graduated with top honors from the Conservatory of Naples under the guidance of Annamaria Pennella, at a very young age he received awards at the most important national and international events for young pianists, winning first prizes at competitions in Osimo, Lamezia Terme, Messina, and Capri, among others.
In 1992, he moved to the USA where he was admitted to the “Master” program at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York, selected among the best young soloists from around the world. In New York, he honed his skills as a soloist with the legendary Russian pianist Oxana Yablonskaya and worked on chamber music repertoire with the Austrian violinist Felix Galimir. After graduating as a soloist with honors from Juilliard, Massimiliano moved to London to further his studies with Maria Curcio.
His training was also greatly enriched by numerous Master Classes with Alexander Lonquich, Ferenc Rados, Andras Schiff, and later Pier Narciso Masi at the “Incontri col Maestro” Academy in Imola. Graduating from numerous international competitions, in 1996 he won the “Top Piano Prize” at the “Young Concert Artist International” Competition, beginning a prolific concert career and subsequently making his debut at Carnegie Hall. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed in numerous European countries including Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, England, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Denmark, and has visited South Africa and the United States multiple times. Massimiliano Mainolfi has performed with numerous European orchestras and his recent concerts include appearances at the most important concert institutions in Geneva, Bern, Munich, Hamburg, Milan, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Oslo, Brussels, Stockholm, Stuttgart, and Cologne. He has performed at the “Les Jeunes Solistes de l’Europe” Festival in Brussels, the “IMS Festival” in Cornwall, the “Davos Festival,” “Bach to Bartok” in Imola, and the “Summit Music Festival” in New York, among others.
Massimiliano has collaborated with numerous internationally renowned musicians including Oxana Yablonskaya, Dmitri Berlinsky, Steven Isserlis, Suren Bagratuni, Dimitri Ashkenazy, Julian Milkis, etc. In April 2003, he made his debut at the Berlin Philharmonie in a duo with cellist Mattia Zappa in a concert broadcast live in many European nations. He has made numerous recordings for labels such as Ducale and Claves Records and for Deutschland Radio, DRS, Rai 3, and Espace 2. Currently, he records for the Decca Italy label. He is currently the Director of the “International Academy of Music” and the “Summit Music Festival,” piano professor at the Conservatory of Trento, and at the Hochschule für Musik in Nuremberg.
